Nestled in the colorful fishing village of
Trancoso, on Brazil’s idyllic southern Bahian coast, is
UXUA Casa Hotel. This
sustainable and spectacular retreat was created by former Diesel designer
Wilbert Das, in collaboration with local artisans, using traditional building methods, reclaimed materials, and Brazilian antiques and art. Four of the ten casas are restored fishermen homes on the 16th century town green called the
